Project Zomboid server seasons and events
Each season brings fresh starts and new challenges
Season 44 is coming!
Community Center will also be open on this wipe!
The wipe process will begin with a server shut down around Friday, April 3, 2026 7:30 PM and the new wipe should begin at Friday, April 3, 2026 8:00 PM
Everything is back to a balanced baseline - no weather anomalies, loot distribution is normalized and starting towns are back to our regular list.
For the pre‑wipe event: fire spread will be enabled at Friday, March 6, 2026 11:11 AM (your local time).
Continued storyline - The mystery of the escaped murderer will continue with future events. The friendly survivor group will still try to assist the people of Knox. Hopefully you will have the chance to end the threat for good, although it might be harder than expected, with him having sick followers now…
Of course, we also have a new starter kit for everyone to enjoy. See you soon
SUMMER TIME No more negative temperature in May! Climate has been made warmer, so feel free to get your summer clothes out.
Good luck to everyone and stay safe!
Players may enjoy a sligtly stronger starting kit this season! Good luck, and stay safe out there survivors!
Since it's pretty warm outside this season is going be more chill... The ones who will survive will definitely be more experienced. Good luck surviving!
It's going to be hot...
Difficulty
With the departure of the overbearing cold that came across Kentucky last season, the zombies are warming back up, and as such, returning to their original strength. Be careful not to get caught off guard.
If you have any questions or want to discuss the changes, feel free to do so in #pz-general
Weakened Zombies, Devastated Nature - The relentless cold has taken its toll on the undead, making them more brittle and easier to take down. However, nature itself has suffered—resources in the wild are scarce, crops struggle to grow, and fish have gone into deep waters to survive. This season isn’t just about fighting zombies—it’s about overcoming the world itself.
If you have any questions or want to discuss the changes, head over to #pz-general
Difficulty Loot settings will be altered to make it less of a walk in the park to get your hands on rare items, tools, resources, and ammo. However, to balance this out, the zombies will become less of an ever present struggle.
If you have any questions or want to discuss the changes, feel free to do so in #pz-general.
Survivors, the world around you is changing rapidly, and nature is reclaiming its territory—fast.
Here’s what you need to know:
🚗 Car Speed: Cars can now reach 90 mph, but be extra cautious—roads and surroundings have become more unpredictable as nature starts to take over.
⚡ No Power, No Water: We’re starting fresh with no electricity or water. But don’t worry—with enough effort, resourcefulness, and time, you'll have the chance to bring back power and water, and restore some order to the chaos. Nature might have taken it away, but you can still fight to get it back.
🌾 Farming, Foraging, and Fishing: As nature reclaims the world, these survival methods become more important and rewarding than ever. The wild is now more abundant, offering the resources you’ll need to survive and adapt. The land is your ally—if you know how to work with it.
Several years have already passed, and nature is now firmly in control. Nature is taking back what’s hers, and it’s up to you to either adapt and thrive in this new world or let it swallow everything you’ve built. Restore utilities, rebuild from the ground up, and survive—because the environment doesn’t wait for anyone. 🌱🌍
Good luck, survivors—nature's force is strong, but so are you.
We're nearing the end of this current wipe, which has been pretty interesting. There has been a great deal of player activity; this indicates to us that changing the settings to be slightly more difficult was indeed a good idea. As we proceed, we are sharing some information on the next wipe, which will be themed around Darkness. The name of the wipe is "There's always night...", which should give you some perspective on the upcoming settings changes. We've also listened to the community about the rare cigarettes and weapons loot, and we're going to address this by making them more accessible. Regarding the zombies, our beloved staff is still working on the settings, and we will keep you posted on when the wipe will be live. The team is also planning an awesome event, but the date is yet unknown.
Speaking of the team, some of you may have already noticed that @Saki and @Lija have joined our staff, helping to manage the server and providing stellar guidance to both new and returning players, so please give them a warm welcome and say "Hi" if you see them in the game. I believe that they are strong pillars of the community who continue to make our community even more amazing.
Speaking of the community, we've noticed that there are a few factions on the server, and we kindly remind you that we're able to set up separate faction-only text and voice channels here on Discord, which we encourage you to use.
To continue providing these enriching experiences and managing the server effectively, we would greatly appreciate your support through platforms like Ko-fi, PayPal, or perhaps even better, Patreon. Your contributions help cover the monthly expenses, ensuring that our server remains operational and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you for your dedication and support!

Season 28 Highlights:

Those players might play a crucial role in the quest. Get ready for an adventure like no other!
Quest Overview:
In this quest, players will embark on a mission to discover and escort a wounded Lieutenant to safety. But there's a twist! The journey begins with a mystery that only the most resourceful survivors can unravel.
How It Works:
Join the Adventure:
This quest promises to be a thrilling and immersive experience, bringing our community together in a shared challenge. Whether you're a seasoned survivor or new to the game, Operation Safe Passage offers something for everyone.

Post-wipe Event
There will be a special event on Sunday, where you may find exceptional loot, however the location will be incredibly dangerous, and you might die trying to clear the area. High risk, high reward.
Our 25th Season will begin this afternoon!!
The wipe will take place this Friday afternoon around 7:30 PM!
(The server will go offline: 2 months ago, at 5:30 PM, and will come back online for the next wipe 2 months ago, at 7:30 PM)
Spawn Regions
This time around, we will have a wide range of selections for our spawn points. The standard four you are familiar with, Muldraugh, West Point, Rosewood, and Riverside will all be available, but you'll also be able to pick from the 4 special spawn regions, Fallas Lake, March Ridge, Dixie, and Doe Valley. We will also include the "Randomized Small Towns of Kentucky" spawn region. This spawn region will send you into one of the eight spawn regions available for selection on random.
Starter Kit
We have our well established tradition now of having a different starter kit each season, and that won't change. However, instead of having another starter kit you have never seen before, as a change of pace we will be returning to the standard starter kit. So prepare to use the classic baseball bat on your early loot runs!
Loot Setting Changes
Loot settings will be slightly adjusted to make finding things less of a pain. Weapons and ammo loot will be slightly increased, similar to how they used to be in Season 23 and before.
Difficulty Settings Changes
To balance out the fact that weapons and ammo will be easier to get, zombies will get more difficult across the board. You will be able to find decent weapons, but you are going to have to actually use them.
So, we are changing things a bit, you guys wanted slightly higher difficulty, both with the undead, and with the loot.
Spawn Regions
We have removed the random zones, and some of the larger spawnpoints, making the total spawn regions to choose from this season to be only five instead of the nine in previous seasons. This should help decrease the artificial player spread on the map.
Starter Kit
To keep to the theme of making thing's more difficult, the assortment of secret items you start with, will also be made significantly weaker.
Loot Setting Changes
Loot has received significant changes, with everything across the board being higher rarity, with slower respawn times that will be dynamically changed during the season to stop excel sheet players. Oh, and ammo will be an especially rare commodity, don't go wasting it!
Good luck out there, stay safe during these harsh times!
So, things are back on track, finally. There will be a couple differences next wipe, some more important than others. Please take your time and read what I have to say. If you have any questions or want to discuss the changes, feel free to do so in #pz-general.
Spawn Regions
The spawn regions will be unchanged compared to last wipe. As such, you will once more see "Randomized Small Towns of Kentucky" (This setting provides a pool of 8 areas where you might spawn: Muldraugh, West Point, Riverside, Rosewood, March Ridge, Dixie, Fallas Lake, or Doe Valley) and the Community Center (This special spawn region consists of a single building located between West Point and Muldraugh. It’s designed primarily for new players or those new to the community. While it won't be abundant in loot, anyone is welcome to explore it.) This location will be monitored, periodically reset, and those found griefing will be punished.
Starter Kit
Our tradition of having a different starter kit every wipe, is still going strong. As usual, the contents of the starter kit is a secret until you good people need to use it to survive. However, this time, I will be giving you a hint as to what to expect from this starter kit. Put yourselves in the shoes of a hunter for a bit...
No Louisville Blockade!
The entire map will be available for you starting from, well, the very start of this season. You can rush into Louisville to your hearts content, but be careful, the remnants of the military and whatever is left of the civilians still roam the streets of Louisville at the start. Players may perform PvP or otherwise hostile actions ONLY against characters with the red "ADMIN" title before their name...
Loot Setting Changes
To make the game less easy for you guys, and to make sure it doesn't get as stale quite as fast, loot respawn settings will get a slight rebalance. Rarities will remain unchanged, however loot respawn hours and amounts will get changed.
In Game Voice Chat
We have decided to give the in game voice chat a trial run this wipe, VOIP will be enabled from the beginning of the season. I hope you guys enjoy, but please behave civil, at least if you want to give VOIP a fighting chance at staying with us for the future. However, with this comes a reminder. Always record your gameplay. Not only does it make things easier for us when helping you with something, it's also the best way for you to report someone misbehaving. As always you are free to speak however you want in private, but keep in mind the main language here is English, and be respectful with others.
There will be several changes this wipe, so please read the full #announcement.
If you have any questions or want to discuss the changes, feel free to do so in #pz-general.
1: Spawn Regions
Randomized Small Towns of Kentucky: This familiar setting provides a pool of 8 areas where you might spawn: Muldraugh, West Point, Riverside, Rosewood, March Ridge, Dixie, Fallas Lake, or Doe Valley. Community Center: This special spawn region consists of a single building located between West Point and Muldraugh. It’s designed primarily for new players or those new to the community. While it won't be abundant in loot, anyone is welcome to explore it. (This location will be monitored, periodically reset, and those found griefing will be punished.)
2: Starter Kits
In previous seasons, we’ve had unique starter kits to freshen things up and provide even the most experienced players with something new and unexpected. Season 22 will be a bit different. Once again, the exact contents of the kit will remain a mystery until you use them. This kit will be more challenging in some ways while being more generous in others. We hope you can adapt to an unexpected weapon type once again.
3: Louisville Blockade
Yes, it’s back by popular demand—the Louisville blockade returns. For the first week of the wipe, Louisville will be inaccessible. After a week, the blockade can be lifted, but it won’t go away on its own. Players will need to join forces and break through the blockade in a special event. Keep an eye on the pz-events channel to learn more when the time comes.
There will be a handful of changes coming this wipe, so please make sure to read the #announcement.
If you have any questions, or would just like to discuss the changes, feel free to do so in: #pz-general.
Randomized Small Towns of Kentucky: This is what you are already familiar with, giving you a pool of 8 areas you might spawn in. Muldraugh, West Point, Riverside, Rosewood, March Ridge, Dixie, Fallas lake, or Doe Valley. Randomized Houses of Kentucky: This special spawn region will not be present in the upcoming season.
In the past Seasons, we have had some new starter kits, to freshen things up, and give even the most hardened veterans something new and unexpected to start the Season with. Season 21 will be no different. Once again, the exact contents of the kit will be kept a mystery until the first brave adventurers get their hands on them. We hope you will be, once again, able to adapt to an unexpected weapon.
There will be more, smaller events to look forward to, thanks to our new staff members, so keep those eyes peeled on the pz-events channel so you don't lose out on some great gear!
Right before the wipe, for one hour, there will be a special event held, where the winner/winners will have a chance to get rewards redeemable in the new wipe, so keep your 👀 on that #pz-events channel folks!
There will be a handful of changes coming this wipe, so please make sure to read the announcement.
If you have any questions, or would just like to discuss the changes, feel free to do so in: #pz-general.
1: Spawn Regions
The spawn locations you are already familiar with from the base game, will be staying. However for those that are adventurous, we will be keeping the "Randomized Location" option, however renamed. We will also be adding, for those that really like a challenge, or just want to try their luck, an expanded version of the Randomized Location spawn option.
The custom Spawn Regions you can choose to pick will be as follows:
2: Starter Kits
In the past Seasons, we have had some new starter kits, to freshen things up, and give even the most hardened veterans something new and unexpected to start the Season with. Season 20 will be no different. You can say goodbye to the starter spear that has surely made space for itself in your hearts. Then, again, what exactly are you starting with? well it wouldn't exactly be a surprise if we told you, but surely, you will be able to work with what you start with.
3: Vehicles
Vehicles will be much more abundant, but found in a worse condition, and with less gasoline. Rare vehicle types will be more common, but you will need to work harder to get cars into squeaky clean conditions.
There will be more, smaller events to look forward to, so keep those eyes peeled on the pz-events channel so you don't lose out on some great gear!
Last Stand!
This Season will go out with a bang, any players online before the server goes offline for the wipe, will be transported to a location where they will have to hold their ground, for as long as they can. Further details will be announced tomorrow.
The server will go down for the wipe process at Friday, May 3, 2024 7:30 PM, unless the participants of the "Last Stand" die out sooner.
There will be a handful of changes coming this wipe, so please make sure to read the #announcement.
If you have any questions, or would just like to discuss the changes, feel free to do so in: #pz-general.
1: Spawn Regions
The spawn locations you are already familiar with from the base game, will be staying. However, for those feeling adventurous, there will be another option added: Randomized location.
With the Randomized Location option, you will not only be drawing from the regular locations, but also four new regions, that some of you might already be familiar with: March Ridge, Dixie, Fallas Lake, and Doe Valley.
2: Starter Kits
In the 18th Season, you all have found your trusted school bags, hammers, and baseball bats being changed to duffel bags, hunting knives, and shovels. In this new season, you will have to say goodbye to the newcomers, you will no longer spawn into the world with the duffel bag kit.
However, this doesn't mean you will be seeing the old, regular starter kit making a comeback just yet. So what will your character have with them, then? Time will tell, how will You adapt?
3: Louiseville Blockade!
What?! Why can't I get through?
Yes, Louiseville will not be accessible for the first week of the wipe. On the second Friday, there will be an event to open the blockade, players will have to spend their time preparing for that eventuality.
Don't waste your time trying, going inside will not be possible, and trying to do so will lead to punishments. If for some reason the game spawns you in Louiseville, please "manually" respawn yourself, or ask for help in: #pz-help-support.
4: Vehicles, and Loot
Vehicles will be slightly less abundant, and in a slightly worse condition. Rare vehicle types will be more sought after, and you will have to take better care of the running cars that you have.
Loot respawn values will be scaled back. Currently, some players feel loot is too easy to find, and to camp the loot respawns. Items that would regularly be valuable, sit in large piles.
As such, there will be balance changes to make looting more enjoyable for everyone.
There will be more, smaller events to look forward to, so keep those eyes peeled on the # channel so you don't lose out on some great gear!
You can also expect to see the "good old" analog version of the kill leaderboard show up in the pz-gallery channel, will any server records be beat this month? Hopefully we see some great warriors emerge.
Okay, now that the interesting things are out of the way, there's some more left to think about:
The automatic item cleanup will get some significant changes - You will see a lot more "dropped" items being removed from the world, and sooner.
Please keep this in mind when playing. If it's important, use the "place item" function to protect it from the item cleanup, and try not to throw useful items from POI containers on the floor if you don't need them, someone else might need it!
We will also be slightly decreasing the vehicle speed limit from 110 km/h to 90 km/h to make things feel more fluid.
The server will go down for the wipe process at 5:30pm 8 months ago, anyone still online in the ~hour, hour and a half before that, will see their world come crumbling down... (more info will be coming in #pz-events soon)
This wipe, the starting regions will be back to default: It's time to say goodbye to Fallas Lake, Doe Valley, March Ridge, and Dixie for now. What did you think about the new spawn location, did you enjoy them? What differences did you notice on your, and other players' behavior? Feel free to discuss it in the #pz-general chat!
Another thing you can say goodbye to, is the boring old Starter Kit! This wipe, players will start with a different set of items in their inventory, that might come with some differences in how you spend the beginning of your wipe.
The vehicle speed limit will stay at the new, higher speed. (110 km/h)
We are also excited to announce that soon, there will be major changes to the FAQ, and the Hall of Fame landing!
You can also expect to see an "after-action report" about the story and timeline of the events from Season 17, as told from the perspective of the "Survivors Advocate", you can expect this to arrive in #pz-events in the following days after the Season ends with it's final event.
What did you think about the events, their story, and the characters within?
Did you enjoy them, and what else would you like to see from events next Season?
What will your story be this time?
We're thrilled to inform you that there will be some alterations during this wipe to prevent things from becoming monotonous!
An increase in the speed limit (from 70 to 110) ! Yes, this means you will be able to get to places faster, but be careful! The increased speed can mean your car gets harder to control, and takes more damage. But it's not only the car you should be mindful of, real high speed crashes can very easily be fatal to the occupants of the vehicle.
A set of new spawn regions to pick from! This wipe, the original 4 spawn regions, Muldraugh, Rosewood, Riverside, and West Point, will be locked. They will be replaced by a new set of 4 spawn regions: Fallas Lake, Doe Valley, Dixie, and March Ridge.
There will also be a two part event related to the spawn regions, with it's first part coming this Saturday, so keep an 👀 eye 👀 out for the announcement!

Hey hey @Zomboids! Season 5th on mjota.net has officially started! We know that you've been eagerly waiting to play on the server and we hope you'll have plethora of fun. We've finally made it to the point where the developers pushed all the updates from unstable branch to stable, so hopefully there won't be any issues... but knowing TIS...
Server has been wiped today, so get your butts up there and make yourself at home! LET'S GO! Just a reminder - our @Zomboid staff are here to help you all out but keep in mind that they're doing that in their own leisure so please don't pull their strings - we all have our private lives and it's not easy to manage quite a big community. Please use this forum and/or help section so that we don't miss out messages because it's not easy to go through multiple text channels and not all monitored on a daily basis! Having that said - I hope y'all have a wonderful time on the server!
